Unlock the secret powers of your body

We all love dancing and even if our dance of choice is different, our bodies all work in the same way. So, why not work together? Regardless of your favorite dance and your personal goals, this workshop is made for you.

What?

The Franklin Method® is used across the board in sports, dance and rehab. It brings together imagery, movement, touch and embodied anatomy allowing quantum leaps in well-being, posture and quality of movement.

We will use it to explore our body mechanics and see how improving posture and movement can positively impact our dancing. More specifically, we will work on body parts like shoulders, arms, pelvis and spine to optimize their function.

Why?

Throughout the afternoon we will work together on releasing tension in the body and gaining more control over our own movement. Dancing with less unwanted tension and a more integrated body will give us a more beautiful movement and improve our connection to our partner. Bonus point: you will be able to dance longer and with less sore muscles the day after.

How is it going to work?

Have you ever been to a silent disco? Picture a dance floor, absolutely silent, full of people all dancing to the music of their choice through headphones. Thanks to modern technology, we’ll be able to use the same principle in the workshop. Are you tango dancers? Bring your music and share the floor with Blues or Kizomba dancers.

Who can attend?

Every partner dancer who wants to improve their quality of movement, control of their own body and connection to their partner. Whether you’ve been dancing for 10 years or 10 days, you will find something valuable to work on.

As we will all be working on different dances, we ask you to register with a partner. Of course, the more the merrier, so tell your friends!
